Introducing funk4soul
Funk4Soul is the dance-child of Lee Pazmino,
a production project that plans to introduce something new to the dance
scene with stylized images and highly engaging performances and
choreography.
Established in early 2007, Funk4Soul
includes individuals bound together by their shared passion to dance,
perform, and most importantly entertain.
The project serves as an outlet to train and inspire other dancers while
showcasing Pazmino's well-known style of choreography; a style that is
informed by a fusion of martial arts, ballet, and highly defined
movements and steps. Pazmino’s diligence and interdisciplinary approach
demonstrates his versatility and commitment towards “thinking outside
the box.” He is a revolutionary, fluent in the language and architecture
of the diverse world of dance. Funk4Soul offers hip-hop, jazz, and Latin
influenced dance lessons, workshops and projects, all over the Bay Area,
for individuals, groups, and classrooms. Funk4Soul
is dedicated to serving children, youth and adults, with the intention
of supporting, challenging and transforming aspiring, intermediate, and
seasoned dancers from all backgrounds and orientations.
We are a small collective eager and willing to sustain and advance the
creative processes that drive dance communities across the Bay Area, and
strive to enhance and expand their membership, styles and commitments
towards the multitude of methods with which dance shapes and informs
political consciousness.
Dancing and entertaining is Pazmino’s main focus, but
Funk4Soul also takes pride in maintaining a
positive vibe and a sense of friendship among its members, a vibe which
is present in all of their performances.
Please look around, and make yourself at home with us.
